Spirit Board: Doorway to Death Casting Announcements
Facemelt Features is Happy to announce the cast as well as key crew members for their second feature film Spirit Board: Doorway to Death!
Lanie will be playing the role of Beth. Lanie is a Philadelphia based actress who has worked on the TV show “The Grounders”, as well as the feature films “I Think I’m Sick” and “Audrey’s Children”. I’m very happy to have Lanie on board and we look forward to working with her.
Mo will be playing Jill. Mo is a Maryland based performer. This is Mo’s first feature film but she’s no stranger to acting. She has a background in theater. Mo has played Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family Musical and Inga in Young Frankenstein just to name a few roles.
Ashleigh is an up and coming scream queen from North Carolina. She will be playing the role of Annie. Ashleigh already has several credits in the horror world, including the award winning short film “From the Dead.” She also has a number of upcoming projects including “Darbies Scream House”, “Side Quest” and “Night of the Dead Sorority Babes”. We’re very excited to have Ashleigh on board!
Hunter will be playing Rick. Hunter is a North Carolina based actor. He’s performed in several films such as Bobby Canipe’s Grandma and Amittyville Ripper. Hunter has also been in The Wendigo and has a role in the upcoming viral sensation Crackcoon. We’re very happy to have Hunter on board and we look forward to working with him!
Pennsylvania based Johnny Hough will be playing Tony. This is Johnny’s first acting gig but he’s no stranger to film. Johnny has worked on several projects including the short horror film “Bella” where he was the Director and Editor. He is also the producer and editor of the web series “Updating.”
Amanda Megan will be playing Katie. Amanda is a Pennsylvania based actress that Facemelt Features fans may know best from out first feature film “Night of the Axe.” Amanda also has two upcoming films. “The Blue Hole” where she has a supporting role and her directorial debut “Anna Key.”
Gary will be reprising the role of William the killer ghost summoned from the Spirit Board. Gary has worked actively in film since 2007. He was in Chris Seavers Evil Night. He’s a frequent collaborator with Mint Condish Productions on such projects as Butterfly of Black Velvet and Laugh Till You Die. He also Co-Hosts The B-Movie Den review show. You may also remember him from Night of the Axe!
What’s a good villain without an angry mob to hunt him down? Not to give anything away but this film will feature an angry mob. Nate Nelson, Tony Giannott and Russell G. Voelker will be playing key members of the mob. We previously worked with them on Night of the Axe. These characters play a pretty important role in the beginning of the film. We’re very happy to see them all again!
Joe La Scola will be handling Special Effects duty on Spirit Board: Doorway to Death! Joe is an award winning special fx artist who worked on such films as The Arrangement, The Barn Part II and Swamp Zombies 2 among many others. Joe also directed and did special fx for his excellent short film The Outhouse. He also is the man behind The Movie Dumpster Podcast. We’re very excited to have Joe on board!
Matt Cannon will be composing the score for Spirit Board. We previously worked with Matt on our first feature film Night of the Axe. We absolutely loved his score so we had to bring him back! Matt has also scored many other films including Bathtub Shark Attack, Beyond Dark Dreams and Force to Fear. Matt also has a synthwave project called Lapses. Always happy to have Matt on board!
